My name is Danielle Arp, and I am the Transportation and Safety Co-Chair here at Chavez. We have two children who attend César Chávez school and are proud to be a part of this glorious community for coming up on five years now. I am a native of Portland and have grown with the city and its various neighborhoods as they have changed over the years. Coming up through PPS myself, I believe in and am committed to, seeing our children through public education system. During my college years I worked as a teacher at the Cloud Forest School in Monteverde, Costa Rica, where I found my love for the Spanish language and am thrilled to have the opportunity to pass this along to our children.
Though I graduated from Portland State University with a major in history and minors in education, linguistics and Spanish, I spent my career working as a Program Manager at both Intel and NVIDIA. I feel blessed to now be able to spend my time as a stay at home mom. My greatest joy is watching, and supporting, our children develop their own interests and hobbies.
