    TUESDAY, NOV 10TH | 5:30

    The PTA meets the second Tuesday of every month (except for December and June) from 5:30 - 7:00 PM in the cafeteria. Dinner, childcare and Spanish interpretation provided.

    There are lots of ways to volunteer at our school. Visit our volunteer page for a current list of opportunities. NOTE: If you are volunteering during the school day, you’ll also need to apply to be a volunteer through PPS so you can complete their background check process.

  • 2026 Harvest Festival

    WEDNESDAY, OCT 28TH

    Bring the whole family for an evening of fun, food, and connection at our Harvest Festival! Enjoy a free dinner, carnival-style games, and plenty of opportunities to celebrate the amazing community that makes Cesar Chavez so special. With no school Thursday or Friday, it’s the perfect way to kick off the long weekend.

North Portland PTA Alliance – Family Resilience & Emergency Support Fund

Families across North and Northeast Portland are navigating unprecedented challenges—from rising costs and food insecurity to the loss of critical public and nonprofit funding that once supported basic needs. In response, PTAs from multiple schools have come together to form the North Portland PTA Alliance, a shared effort to ensure families are not left to face hardship alone.

Public schools are more than places of learning—they are anchors of safety, connection, and care. When families are under strain, our school communities feel it. This fund exists so we can respond together, quickly and compassionately, when families need support the most.
