    The PTA meets the second Tuesday of every month (except for December and June) from 5:30 - 7:00 PM in the cafeteria. Dinner, childcare and Spanish interpretation provided.

  • 2026 Run for the Cyclones

    TUESDAY, SEP 22ND

    Run, rally, and support our school! Run for the Cyclones is our biggest student-powered fundraiser of the year. This fun-filled event encourages healthy activity while raising critical funds that directly benefit students, classrooms, and school-wide programs.

Well, that’s a wrap on the 25-26 school year! Here’s some photos from 5th and Kinder promotions on Friday! Our 8th graders also had a lovely ceremony at Roosevelt on Wednesday. SO proud of our awesome students!!! 🎓
Our 8th graders had a BLAST at Oaks Park yesterday. It was hot, crowded, and so much fun! Shout out to the staff and parent volunteers who made this happen! 🎢

Join Street Soccer, North Portland Soccer Club, and the Cesar Chavez PTA on Friday nights for summer open play on our futsal courts. June 5, 12, and 25 July 10, 17, 24, 31 Come play and have fun! Open to all community members.

North Portland PTA Alliance – Family Resilience & Emergency Support Fund

Families across North and Northeast Portland are navigating unprecedented challenges—from rising costs and food insecurity to the loss of critical public and nonprofit funding that once supported basic needs. In response, PTAs from multiple schools have come together to form the North Portland PTA Alliance, a shared effort to ensure families are not left to face hardship alone.

Public schools are more than places of learning—they are anchors of safety, connection, and care. When families are under strain, our school communities feel it. This fund exists so we can respond together, quickly and compassionately, when families need support the most.
